To be honest, the actual picture is significantly lighter, I messed with the brightness and the contrast on my computer to make it look the way I wanted. And yes, I know this is a much darker type of subject matter than I usually choose.
Practically the whole time I was making this, I was watching Psych and Pushing Daisies on DVD :) I know they don't really give off the vibe that I wanted to show in this picture, but still...
... :( I'm gonna miss Pushing Daisies. It is such a good show, one of the best new shows I've seen in a long while, yet still ABC isn't going to renew it for a third season... but if you want to watch a great show, then I would definately recommend it :)
I feel I should probably also mention that this picture was likely somewhat inspired by Maus, which I recently read (Great book/graphic novel btw).
Done with watercolor, sharpie, and some prisma pencils.

I really like this picture, the "feeling" it gives off is really dark (my kind of stuff )
and about Pushing Daisies, I saw a bit of the first season and thought is was really interesting but I never got around to watching it regularly... I try to avoid television in general because of how bad most shows are.

:O This has a really eerie mood. I tried a few times to turn my head upside-down to see if it looks more "normal" -it does, so I think the reversed position is a great choice-.
Also, I feel the lighting in the arms and hands is fantastic -I mean, THE WHOLE THING is fantastic, but that area is the best-.
