So is it a cinderella type of thing, or is it more that every time he drinks alcohol he tfs? Or is it every time he gets attracted/aroused by a girl? Also, YAY! Continuation! I'm guessing this is portraying the first time his girlfriend sees him tf. And based on previous pics I've seen, I believe she eventually comes to terms with it, and keeps him as a bf anyways.

I'll let you ask him yourself once the new Ask series opens up. But for now I'll just say it's a residual effect of a past curse that befell him when he was a wayward boy. For the intents of this comic, this is the first time she's seen him turn before. He's inadvertently brayed in front of her once or twice, though. Juni's pretty adaptable, though, luckily for Candle.
