Kur & Mondy is a comic book by Wallace Dingle, featuring exclusively the two title characters. Only one issue was published, by Bell Comics in 1954. Kur & Mondy no. 1 consists of 32 one-page episodes, in all of which Mondy inadvertently causes extreme physical injury to Kur. The massive amount of bloodletting in the comic proved off-putting to prospective buyers, as well as to several distributors who refused to carry the book, ensuring its quick demise due to poor sales.
No biographical information on Wallace Dingle is known. Dingle may well be a pseudonym for one or several artists who did not want to own up to having produced Kur & Mondy, as the comic is arguably in very poor taste.
Despite the rarity of extant copies of Kur & Mondy, the collectibility value of the comic is virtually nil, as it only appeals to the extremely small number of fans of the obscure comedy guro genre.
