I find it pretty ironic that of all the nice looking models of BNSF cabooses, the only real one I've seen to wear the railroad's new colors is a display piece near Crawford Hill.

well this was a BN caboose originally

this is how I'd paint my ex-BN caboose but also remove metal off of covered wintows

Well by the time those railways merged into BNSF cabooses were long out of use

Not really. BN still used cabooses on short transfer runs and as tool cars, and a couple lines in Oregon still required cabooses into the 90's. Hell, BNSF still keeps cabooses to be used as shoving platforms.
