The Samurai, as impressive as it was, was nothing more but the knights of the Japanese history. Their code and honor while used in practise, was often broken as well when it suited them. There is a reason why they have the term Ronin. I think there is a lot of glorification when it comes to warriors and the culture around it. But in a fight between live and death, there is not really much room for honor. Not in ancient Japan, nor medieval Europ with their knights.
what you describe is simply zen in action and a lot of people can do that. in fact a lot of people in martial arts go way beyond that. you shouldn't honour yourself to much.
also by praising yourself in this way you shame those before you, mostly those around miamoto musashi, who was a great master and didn't kill his master student, i don't know were you got that idea. also after he wrote the book of the five rings he did nothing anymore, but live in a cave, meditating.

i see what you did and mentioned so before, it's zen in action. i just say it's nothing as special as you said it would be. i don't say it's common, by far not, but it isn't a unique trait. i also didn't call you a liar, since i really believe you believe what you said. i just think you are wrong about it. and yes, i indeed call you a braggard, for saying you learned something musashis master student couldn't learn.
[Reply to Solidlegend, who is not solid at all in terms of having fair discussion - replied to me, then instablocked, leaving me without opportunity of giving a fair reply. Way to go, "good guy"]
How she must be grateful to Nae for chasing her own dream? Its like parents must be grateful to their kid for learning his homework and going to school - its not something that you should be grateful for, its just something that MUST be done.
And btw, I mentioned this before: Asami doesnt know that Nae is mentally damaged, thats why she is failing in the first place, yet Asami doesnt know about it.

Im sensing a bad atmosphere going on just because I didn't want to get into a never ending argument which would lead to a flame war. Call me whatever you want but I know Asami is the true ungrateful bitch in this series and she is wrong to do this shit to Nae. Nae is busting her ass off and it's killing her. It doesn't matter if Asami knows or not that is no excuse for her beating her close to death and making her situation more worse. It is Nae's dream but Asami is asking too much out of her and whenever she messes up she is brutally beaten and I'm pretty sure she would've killed Nae if no one had stopped her.
And now for the blocking part, that was not on my part, someone got into my account without me knowing and tried to make me look like an ass. If you want a fair reply I fixed the issue and will deal with the hacker later. Just know I have a zero tolerance for flamers, and I don't like arguments. I had intentions for you to have a fair reply but because of some fucker fucking around with a number of my profiles I was unable to so I am deeply sorry for that.

I see your point of view, and I understand it. Yet you must understand mine - the world of blade under mask is based of those years, when the reputation and honor of house's and families were playing a huge part in society - show some kind of weakness or imperfection and you will lose your authority, and also recieve bad reputation - nobody will be interested in having a good deals with you. Unfortinately, but those are the rules, especially of those times. Asami expected her to perferm perfectly at stage, as I asume she had a lot of training before that. Asami had huge hopes for Nae, and she let her know about that, yet she still let her down. I personally can imagine how would Asami feel cause of that, especially if your are old woman, with potentially rought past and old nerves. It's understandable that you don't sympathise with her way of punishment, but I see people writing "HOPE SHE DIES!", "SHE NEEDS TO BE KILLED", "GOD WHAT A BITCH!" etc. And that makes me think about people who write it, do they really know what "good" really is? Because fighting violence with violence is like trying to put out fire with gasoline.
I appreciate the no flaming there. I know about how feudal era was and the timeframe and I can only imagine. Still I still believe Asami is wrong to physically beat her almost close to death. It's like what if she gotten beaten very painfully to the point that it would hinder some of her movements or herself. Causing her to make mistakes beyond d her control because of the beatings she gets, resulting her to be beaten again and again. That's just absolutely wrong but I can't do nothing about it, you can't do nothing about it, and I'm not even sure Whitemantis can do anything about because in the end that's how fucked up things were back then and have to stay true to the timeline and lore the author had made. Still it's wrong for her to abuse the shit out of Nae like that...
