This is art depicting when these two first met- my secondary sona Luna and her mate Malik Aatos

Excerpt from Malik Aatos bio:
"He met Luna on a routine perimeter patrol around the merpeople kingdom-the western sector. Luna was out on a swim to catch some fish for Firefly and the town. Malik was at first taken aback by how cute Luna was, but then was quite prickly towards her and questioned her and asked for paperwork. When Luna failed to produce the paperwork for fishing in the western sector, he had to confiscate the fish and tried to catch her to bring her to jail. Unluckily for him, and lucky for her, Firefly just happened to be doing some fishing of her own, so Luna jumped into the boat to escape him. Malik was surprised that a merperson would be chummy with one of those on land, and thought of her for a long time. On another patrol in the western sector, he came across her again, only this time, Luna meant to run into him- she thought he was really cute. He was very awkward, and after some time talking, Malik decided to quit his job and live with Luna and her friends in the town. He now has some friends, and helps provide for Firefly and her friends. He does, however, miss working for the kingdom in the ocean. "
