I got this guy for my Mom when she was in the hospital, a few months later she had him plunked smack on the center of her upright baby grand piano with this silly sombrero on his head.
I caught one glimpse of him and just lost it; I hadn’t laughed that hard in a long while.
That was the last time we would share a laugh together as she lost her fight with cancer soon after.

I keep this guy around to remind of her smile and the sound of her laughter.
