This is my newest drawing, which was drawn today. What I love about this is that it is a huge teaching tool for me. It shows both things that I am doing (somewhat) right, and what I am doing wrong all in one drawing.

The right part is I would have to say this is my best upper torso I have drawn yet. It still suffers from awkward arms but it is a step in the right direction. What I think is best in this drawing is the shading. This is by far the best shading I have done yet. Not perfect, but much better.

What is wrong about this pic is the usual odd arms. But, as you most likely can see, the muzzle is suffering heavily from "squished muzzle syndrome", which means the muzzle looks like it is hanging down from the face, like an elephant trunk. But now I know not to do that again.

Since there has been such a huge improvement in my drawing, I think that it may be worth it to buy a tablet. I am sick of using my camera to put pictures into the computer and I really don't want a scanner. So I think I will take a trip up to best buy and buy myself a medium Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet. Yay me!
