The tennis Roo in the costume of the 80's. Till around the middle of the 80's, tennis was a sort of elegant sport, but when John MacEnroe appreared, it came to blows with racket. When Andre Agassi became renowned then, I was shocked at his wears which destroyed the dignity in tennis. I miss the days when Bjorn Borg used to make a double backhand top spin shot.

Racket sports are addictive. I had played tennis for over twenty five years. As the Spring has come, we should do some exercise outdoors because it is rather better for our health than drawing for hours and hours in the house. I am now drawing your fursona in ink. It will be completed in a few days. Thank you for the comment and the fav.
Thank you for the comment and I am deeply sorry for the belated response to your last message. Still have I remained unable to get rid of my anxiety in designing a character of the secondary creation of the vide game. If I were young, I would not be worried about that though, I am very much afraid of drawing such a character which would really be irrelevant to your generation.
Aww sadly I wasn't around during the 80s but I know a lot of exciting key events took place during them. ^^ Namely music which is something I really enjoy from that era.
Anyways, the picture looks so adorable. The whole attire on the roo looks so awesome, really nice work on the detailing and such on the fur of him and the folds in his outfit. Just simply stunning. I'd love to challenge him to s game of tennis. ^^ Really nice picture. The cuteness never ceases to astonish me. = )

I think that the atmosphere in the 80's was hotter than that of now. Enterprises had room for investing in the creation of new movies, cartoons, dramas, musics, and so on at that time. Regarding to the music, there were the "ABBA", Cyndi Lauper, Stievie Wonder, Madonna, and many more in the U.S., Sofia Rotaru, Yuri Antonov, the "Yalla", the "Syabry" etc. in Russia. Japan had the golden age of the production of anime.
Now the companies are inclined to pursue for their profits so badly that they stopped investing. Eventually the quality of arts getting lower. What makes me worried is that people are getting more and more accustomed to the works in low quality now.

You're welcome.
Oh yes, can't forget the Eurythmics, Soft Cell, and The Vapors. = ) Oh yes, I had noticed that and then in the 90s, the anime got even more nicely developed because of the spark of the 80s but I do see what you mean. It's just that times are changing and such.

Man, I just love your athletic pics, Double-R! Great job on the player-- got him turning his body and starting the racket high like you should open a good forehand. Terrific action.
And buddy, if you're looking for another Bjorn Borg, you're going to be waiting a LONG time. Dude-- will there ever be another Bjorn Borg? That's like asking for another Michael Jordan. Another Tiger Woods. Another Garry Kasparov.
