A tongue of red phosphorus,
Licked an unblinking strip,
And from their hushed discourse,
I heard a whisper slip
It spoke to me of promises
Of ignition and of blaze,
Of all the collected masses
That its hunger would raze
In excited tones,
It crackled and it raved
About cinders and bones
And how none would be saved,
Its thirsty voice was rasping.
Begging for a sip,
From the bottle I was grasping,
In my uncertain grip,
An oldie from once-upon-a-coulda-have-been story line involving Sofia - done by none other than
Fauxlacine ages ago. Recovered from older HD and back in the gallery where it belongs.
