Why do everyone want to kill us? Sigh...
old stuff
I drew this a while ago to depict my deprimised mood after one of my favorite characters from a fantasy novel was killed.
Strange enough: 9 out of 10 of my favorite characters are killed or die in some other way in their stories...

Are you talking about Game of Thrones? XD! Because I am the same way as you XD! I still did not had courage to read the second book because on the first one I got so attached to one of the characters, and when he died I was REALLY shocked!! I always though "Nah, someone will appears to save him in the last second"... So fool of me XD! I hate those books where a character that we like so much die someway >w<!
I would though this picture would be even cute since Fafnir's face looks kind bored, but taking into account a serious theme like "murder" is on the table, this makes me a little worried. Does Fafnir will be executed or something!? O.o I really hope he be okay >w<!
But for the picture alone, I liked the hogtying style that he is XD!

Game of Thornes is such a story, where allmost every fan of a certain character will lose a favorite character, I have heard...
this pic was meant to depict my mood after I had lost another one of my favorite characters in a comic book... so I expressed this feeling od being so helpless to fight against this fortune in a hogtie pic with the wait for a certain death
yeah it is kinda sad, kinda depremising, but nontheless it is just a symbol pic and no story with a true result of Fafnir being executed... (in the end his luck of a fool helps him out of peril^^)

Don't even get me started on Game of Thrones. That show is not the type of show to get attached to anything with a pulse. Case in point: the Reed Wedding. ^^;
Although if the spoilers for season seven of the show are true, then the red wedding may seem tame in comparison for what's the come. >w<

Would have to say still that even if its saddening, that still shows you do feel for the characters you liked and mourn for their loss. I think author of Game of Thrones expressed it best with this one.

It's always lovely to see Fafnir in bondage, but maybe not so much in a situaton where he' on the execution block! o.o
Although since this pic was drawn awhile ago according to you, spoiler alert! Fafnir lives! XD
I mean, awaiting certain doom isn't something I'm against as long as the doom doesn't actually happen. Like with the story I wrote for that Sarnak pic I commissioned years ago.

I remember this story, i think.
And yeah fafnir can not be killed, he is just too much of a fool, and fools tend to have lucky moments in the most unexpected moments possible^^
was more of a symbolic pic to deal with a mood of being deprimised because it happened again that characters in stories I loved died again... this happened to my favorite characters far too often^^;

Just be glad that you don't watch Game of Thrones. XD
Don't get me wrong! It is an amazing show. But so many good characters have been killed off. Although for every, like, five good characters that get killed off, one evil character gets killed off. And the villain deaths are actually really good. XP
Although one that really disappointed me I remember wasn't from GoT, but Skyrim. Specifically Paarthurnax. The fact that Bethesda chose NOT to include an option to tell the Blades you refuse to kill Paarthurnax...at least you have the option to just not go through with the quest, at the very least.

i´ve heard about this tradition in GoT, but it shows that the author is very skilled for his characters to get attached to...
yes this was the only really sad point in Skyrim, where it is said that you can accept or refuse to kill paarthunax. why wasn´t there an option to refuse in words, or even try to convince the blades that paarthunax is now agood guy?
one day i will draw a fanfic comic about skyrim and there my Argonoan character will give a statement about this topic

I've often found that myself, since I always seem to end up really liking the more minor characters or more sympathetic villains and they often end up getting killed off. I used to have that particularly with Marvel comics, though with all the resurrections and retcons, and death for cheap shocks or spectacle I finally got myself more or less burnt out on them.
I'm not sure what Fafnir would have done to get himself in this situation but seeing him like this, looking utterly defeated and resigned to me, I'd make the decision that he'd be shown mercy if it was my choice, or if it didn't look likely anyone else could be persuaded to spare him then the only choice would be to rescue him, though with him being so despondent I would tickle his feet for a while to get him laughing again.
Though when playing Dishonored I've always chosen to go for sparing Daud, and in the case of Skyrim could never bring myself to skin Sinding for the Saviour's Hide, or stay with the Blades when it was demanded you kill Paarthunax.
