Years ago, I nearly made some owl character but I just couldn't get him to look the way way felt was good. You definitely nailed her well.

What caused the difficulty for you exactly?

I think it was his body. I wanted short and fat but I just couldn't get it as I pictured or did but just wasn't what I thought I wanted. You could almost think of Danny DeVito as the Penguin in the Batman movie kind of look.

I can't remember what type of owl he was going to be. It might have been a horned owl. I remember either him having thick eyebrows or the "horns".

Body types are not easy to make, I needed a lot of practice before I could make two different types looking different. If you want to practice anthro body types, I suggest trying the proportions with human characters, to understand why things look as they do.

I kind remember he was going to be real short kind of like a dwarf. That's probably why I couldn't get him right. Though your female owl with a normal body type kinda inspires me to make a female one. Who knows, maybe really tall, thin and royal looking. Then her husband could be that short angry owl.

When I did think of that male owl, my skills weren't anywhere near what I got not, though I feel my talent is in the process of degrading. Still, I could revisit the idea someday.
