Undertale is one of the most adorable games I have ever played [vicariously through watching another person's Pacifist Playthrough of it on YouTube]. I have no shame in admitting I am rather fond of Toriel <3 I've been wanting to make a doodle of this for a long time; had this idea that, in her prime, some time before her and Asgore became an item, she was a fearsome warrior of tremendous skill in both weaponry and magic and a heavy air of royalty. What manner of weather must a mother's heart endure after losing a son, discovering the disturbing recklessness of someone even as sweet and kind as Asgore, and making the decision to live alone; still as beautiful in the kindness of her later years as she was in the ruthlessness of her youth.

I freehanded this (as I usually do with such doodles) so designing the aesthetics of her armor was quite a challenge. I may do a separate sketch of it later, but her spear is supposed to be a wickedly weaponized exaggeration of one of the wings of the Underworld emblem, which I hope was at least slightly apparent. I will colorize this later--maybe add a few more details--and I would like to make and sell a few prints, so long as I don't end up stepping on good Tobyfox's hindpaws for copyright infringement.

Sorry/not sorry, but if you decided to kill Toriel while playing this game then you're kinda terrible and you deserve what you get from Sans ;3
