I think the design of this characters tail is quite unique. I haven't personally seen a lot of characters with octopus type tails and the colors are just lovely. The speckle pattern is rad too! How did you come up with that? Were you researching any particular type of octopus pattern or did ya just do what felt right?

honestly just a lot of "make it up as i go" goes into making them? i had a vague idea of what i want, but its like....when you're trying to remember a person, and you know you know their face and everything but you couldnt actually picture it in your mind if you tried xD thats kinda how it goes ^^;; so with the pattern...i kinda went with just some uneven spots, and prayed xD i only stopped when i felt happy with what turned out ^^

You're welcome! And I think that turned out for the better in this case, sometimes just 'feeling out' a design ends up with very pleasing results. The spot clusters seem very believable and distributed nicely along the tail. What made you pick a tentacle-type tail? Are octopus/squid a favorite of yours?

but hmm its...mostly because i jsut
really like tentacles. not in the porn-y way, but i just like the flexibility, and potential dexterity offered by (fictional) tentacles~ and i love the way that, in cartoons, tentacles are portrayed as extremely squishy. i dunno, always liked them~

but i do find both Octopi and Squid to be really, really cute xD

I could understand that! I personally think cuttlefish are quite adorable, and octopi and Squid are just pretty darn amazing.
