It's kind of an age prorgression.
Great White is like that 20- early thirty something with the big hopes and dreams, "Boy I'm going to be really popular maybe I can get in the movies or get that awesome promotion!"
Bull Shark is middle age and may have gotten that promotion but it it wasn't what he thought it'd be and is stuck in traffic longer than he'd like to be. Has a to do list at home waiting and little Johnny keeps puttting crayons up his nose... what's up with that?
Sand Shark is old age shark screaming "Get off my lawn!"
