And it's finished after sitting on my back burner over over a year. An old CG I started late 2015 of Valerie. the outfit "Arc Knight" was inspired by one of the avatar costumes for "Cat Acrobat" in Kritika (a game I play from time to time on android). It bothered me that it was basically just half a long coat with the other half being non existent save for a belt covering her bust and waist (belt skirt! XD). but the design and belts along with the half coat was enough to inspire this. Despite being inspire by an existing costume. most of this design is original base off of things from the my project's current setting and "Valerie's" job class. It was later used as a base for Valerie's current design, half of which can be seen here.

As for the creation process. It started out as a digital quick sketch using the brush tool. Hair (and it's rendering), Texturing, Rendering, coloring, blurring, and touch up for both the character focal point and the background was all done using the brush tools, smudge tool, and erase tool. Because this was an old pic. This was done before I started optimizing my usage of layers and as a result this thing has a huge layer count that made finishing it take a lot longer then I intended due to me shuffling through over a hundred layers to figure out where certain things were again.
