Q. How much is a plush?
A. I have a rough pricing system but if you are generally interested in an order please send me a private message. All of my plush prices are unique since every design is unique. Prices depend and increase on size/ labour/ embroidery/ character complexities.
Q. Can I commission you?
A. Sure! Please be aware of plush prices/ shipping/ processing times and commission slots. I will need a clear reference sheet with multiple character angles. Multiple changes/ money off will not be given out for miscommunication.
Q. Can I message you for a quote?
A. Of course! Quotes are always open but last for one month. Once expired please ask again. Feel free to send me a private message on eith DA, Facebook or Instagram and I will try and reply as soon as possible.
Q. Can I message you for a chat?
A. Not really.I use my messages as communication for commissions. Unless I know you as a plush artist from groups we are on I don't mind.
Q. Do you accept payment plans?
A. Rarely. Occassionally if the plush is over £200 or buying multiple items or I have dealt with you before. A 25-50% non refunable deposit is a must though.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. I do! I am based in the UK. Shipping to USA etc generally costs me £14 (Roughly $20). Please be aware of shipping costs when asking for a quote. It is not my responsibility for missing/ damaged parcels and customs fees.
Q. What plush do you make?
A. Generally Pokemon, My Little Pony and video game characters. I am also open to Original characters/ Fursonas. I don't do adult related genres/ fetishes.
Q. Do you offer discount?
A. Occasionally. I offer discount to postage for multiple buys at one time. Plush prices may be discounted if it is a project I would really like to take on. Please see my plush crafting wish list.
Q. Do you accept trades?
Possiblay a trade if you do something really unique like sculptures or art dolls.
Q. Do you reserve slots?
A. Rarely. My slots are open in batches and it isn't fair to other potential customers. Exceptions may happen if it is on my wishlist.
Q. Can I have your pattern/ embroidery files?
A. I do not give out my patterns/ files to anyone. These take a lot of testing/ patience to achieve and is all part of learning. Sometimes I may sell certain patterns on my etsy for a respectful charge.
Q. Why so expensive?
A. I am a freelance artist so these plushies are my wages. Plush making takes a lot of skill, practise and pattern testing and can take me a few days - one week to make. If you calculate the amount of working hours each day plus the cost of materials [minky is £17 per metre] it soon adds up. If you want to pay under £10 for an artists work I reccommend you go to a shop and purcahse a retail plush.
Q. Why is a small plush nearly the same price as a standard size plush?
A. In similar aspects to tattooing - Plush making takes a lot of time and practice and as these plushies are my wages I charge by the day. Small plush are a lot more detailed/ fiddly with tiny pattern pieces which can take just as much work to get right as a standard plush would.
Q. Business vs Hobby
A. I get the occasional person message me saying [insert artist] sells their work for [£amount] - why do you charge double?
Quite simply they do it for fun, I do it for a living. Most of the time plush hobbiest are still in school or have a full time job. I do this freelance so these prices cover the cost of materials, my rent, bills and food etc. Also I charge the amount I feel is respectful for the skill in my trade. Cheaper artists may be beginners and are happy to charge a basic rate.
