Yes, his name is a reference to exactly what you might guess if you recognize it. Martin is my semi-insane Native American mob enforcer (the mob is not Native American, just him.) He loves guns, men, and pretty things. Though, this is set in the 1920s, so two of those are more a behind-closed-doors thing. He has a bass case because that's where he stores his guns.
