Having had both animals as pets/family members, I never understood the joke.
If poo doesn't stick to rabbit fur, then why attempt if it was already stated that it didn't stick? It would make more sense if rabbit poo didn't stick to fur, but other poo would. However, a rabbit's fermented poo does stick to it's fur if not removed or recycled.
