Started drawing this yesterday while working on a new story; I've been writing a lot lately and elaborating a fantasy universe with sci-fi elements. Notably, the fact that the sentient races come from different homeworlds with different levels of technological advancement.

Since the Ratfolks' homeworld is located in a region of space where the magic flow is borderline non-existent, they rely a lot on explosives and gunpowder to fight, rather than swords and spells. The blunderbuss is one of their most popular infantry weapons, though they also use all kinds or arquebuses, muskets and other flintlocks.

Other than that, I still have a lot of fleshing out to do. Starting with finding a proper race name, as well as a name for their homeworld.

And a name for this big boy too, of course : he will be the protagonist of my upcoming story. Since this is still a sketch, I'm open to constructive criticism; I know the face looks off, but if there's anything else I should change before finalizing, I would be happy to know :3
