Far as I know maybe they couldn't get it to work up front. But I do think back to the Lincoln Continental with the suicide doors on the back. Maybe that's what Elon was thinking when the X was being designed but with Falcon wing doors.

Yeah not surprised there. After all I think they are built in Cali, and with the gas prices in that state considering the regulations for obvious reasons. Also California being the Mecca of the US for car nuts as it is. I've seen a pair of Model S this Model X and one Model III which runs around Lawrence, Kansas. Wasn't able to grab a picture of it though.
