Actually, Chester was created by Mark Bernard who wrote stories for "Taipan" and "Tales From The Taipan Universe". His likeness was created to illustrate stories and grace the magazine covers. He later to became the subject, along with an alien coyote named Chistopher Deck, of Havoc INC. Terri put a face to both characters. And quite a lovely faces at that. >"^_^"<
I can definitely see why he is so loved. He looks really cute and cuddly but with a sense of smexiness to his look. He really looks awesome, the coloring just looks so good on him and the pose looks very good too. And the expression, aw, it's just so playful. Really nice picture, I'm sure that if he does see this, he'll totally love it. ^^

Don't touch the tail has been around for quite a while in regards to Chester, but it was mostly brought out in HAVOC INC. For example, in HAVOC #5: Jungle Voodoo, a recurring female councilor out to shut-down HAVOC INC. grabs Chester's tail as a security blanket/shield against some otter-like jungle natives. Chester immediately snatches the tail back and snarls at the councilor, "Touch my tail without my permission and you'll draw back a stump!" He then turns to the tail and baby-talks to it, "Are you alright, baby? Did the nasty, predatory woman hurt you?"

wwwwwow. I'm new, so I'd never heard of Chester before, but a little googling has me very, very interested in learning more. This is an absolutely *awesome* rendition of him, and I love his impish expression. Are the early volumes of HAVOC inc still in print, do you know?
