ENDED- POLL - Star Wars: Episode VII 1/2 Swelling Resistance
STAR
WARS
EPISODE VII 1/2
SWELLING RESISTANCE
War is declared!
Following the Hosnian Cataclysm and
the destruction of Starkiller Base, the
remnants of the NEW REPUBLIC and
the FIRST ORDER have begun
a deadly conflict tearing
the galaxy apart once more.
Seeking new allies, SURALINDA JAVOS,
under the RESISTANCE's instructions,
has started forming a new rebel cell,
a squad of renegades with the common
goal of seeing the FIRST ORDER destroyed.
While on a mission in the Outer Rims,
the team picks up unusual readings
from the isolated moon Oricon,
unaware they're about to unearth
a relic of a 3-thousand-year-old war...
Hello, folks.
Tonight, I'm even more bored than usual! And you know what that means?
Yup, another new poll!
This time, I wanted to revisit a concept I had in mind that led to exactly ONE pic before being shelved. Which pic you ask?
Well, the thumbnail kinda gave it away, but if you don't know what it's referring to, then, THIS is where you'll find it.
I already fetishized (is that even a word?) Star Trek with the Star Preg series of commissions, now it's Star Wars' turn with a new series. I was considering naming it "Star Whores", but that was rude, so instead, it'll be "Swell Wars" (or something else if I find better afterwards). It'll feature feature genetically-altered Yael's return in the sequel trilogy timeframe.
How can a character from the Old Republic still be alive 34 years after the Battle of Yavin? Well, science of course!... And a lot of fiction too.
Anyway, I'm aiming towards a squad composed of canon, legends and original characters, who will have to face various situations that may or may not result in growths, expansions, inflations, transformations and other changes of several kinds.
Just like Star Preg, an extensive knowledge of various Star Wars stories, canon or Legends, of different medias, is strongly recommended. Or you can also follow the links or check of Google or Wookiepedia (not a pun, that's really the name of the Star Wars wiki) for more info.
The current planned team:
-Suralinda Javos, a female Squamatan reporter who has an history with Resistance pilot Poe Dameron.
-Yael, a genetically-enhanced herm Cathar bounty hunter from the Old Republic, who had a fearsome reputation as a Sith-killer.
-Unnamed female Zygerrian, a former slaver who got a taste of her species' own medicine during the Galactic Empire's rule and chose to atone for her crimes.
-Unnamed female Nelvaanian, a young adult who wishes to become a Jedi
And this is where you guys come in: "Who should be the other member(s) of the team?"
1/ Female Colicoid: Colicoids were known for creating a lot of the CIS' droids and ships, like the droidekas, which were shaped like their designers. This Colicoid would be the engineer of the team, able to create and upgrade the gear of the group. Like all Colicoids, she would be able to form into a ball to roll around defensively. Could be a queen.
2/ Female Killik: Appearing in various novels, comics and games, the Killiks are ancient insectoids connected to a hive mind, native from Alderaan. This Killik would be a curious "scientist" with an hidden agenda.
3/ Herm Vratix: While only appearing in Legends media, this insectoid species' most important invention is canon: bacta, used to heal most species in the galaxy. This Vratix would be the team's healer, a great observer and problem solver.
4/ Female-programmed Vulture Droid survivor from the Clone Wars: An old CIS droid that was reprogrammed and upgraded by the Resistance and developed a unique personality. While a full member of the team, she also acts as an escort and emergency transport to the squad. Due to her size, she can't participate in many in-doors missions.
5/ Female-programmed BX-series droid commandos survivor from the Clone Wars: An old CIS droid that was reprogrammed and upgraded by the Resistance and developed a unique personality. She is extremely agile and resilient and can survive in environments hostiles to organics.
6/ SCORPIO copy: Yael pretends this female-looking droid is from more than 3,000 years in the past, but analyses of her body indicate she was built recently...
