I told myself I'd get back to these three.
Like old friends it was nice to see them again. I wonder if Green Ranger still needs to get laid.

In order of laughs, Parodies of Garfield > Cartoon > Parodies involving Lovecraftian Horror > Garfield Without Garfield, and wayyyy down there at the bottom lies the comic.
Eventually in some act of protest against his life choices Jim Davis will redraw all of his older comics, replacing the dialogue with the words "Cat hates Mondays". He'll be found dead atop a pile of Cathy/Ziggy fanfiction, his wrists cut.

It's not funny at first glance, true, but when you realize that Jon is just Jim Davis's critique on his own career choice and how worthless he feels cartoonists are, and that Mr. Davis had to deal with life before his success without a cartoon cat to talk to, Garfield Without Garfield suddenly takes on a whole new light as the reality that lead to the creation of a cultural phenomenon.
Jim Davis was bat-shit insane, and the characters in Garfield are just figments of his imagination he wished he'd had around him at that point of his life.
And I find that funny.
