I made a font of my own and outside of being mildly weirded out by it (the computer is writing IN MY HANDWRITING OH MY GOD) you lose an aspect of the handcraftedness of your work when all the letters look the same.

I'd say either write it by hand or go with a standard font available online somewhere...otherwise it'll never be quite right.

Just personal opinion, though -- I don't have a comic of my own so I can't judge too harshly ;)

Hah, yeah -- all the feedback I've received from handlettering has been exclusively positive, leaving me in between a rock and a hard place as far as this issue is concerned! Guess I'm stuck with awesome-looking text for the foreseeable future, then. :)
