Its gonna mutate and create the virus that will grow in humans and cause them to turn into the infected, and only a select few will be immune. Than people will travel in groups of 4 friends and will be struggling to survive and get to military safe zones whilst traversing numerous differing locations and fighting off hordes of these new zombie creatures that were once people. And it will be AWESOME.

Bullets should be conserved, they'll be a scarce commodity in a zombpocalypse, so any automatic fire is a waste of ammo, what good is an auto when you empty your clip on one MAYBE two zombies. It should be aim and precision, not rampant spray. Semi-auto isn't a bad idea just for expedience but I'd endeavor to have an accurate gun with powerful ammo, regardless how fast. The only compromise might be settling for a gun that shoots very common ammo just so you can find more of it.

But what if someone sets off a car alarm and the horde comes D: Or you have to activate a fuel pump which attracts the horde, or a boomer covers you in its bile . . which attracts the horde, or a random horde comes from nowhere XD
