There's a good story behind these next set of pics (starting with Rico, again). Broswing through Bleedman's gallery, I came across three pics with poses that I liked. So I decided to work on some new sketches of Team Sakara, utilizing these poses, and this time with new weapons. Now normally, since this is also the Star Trek universe, Star Fleet would have issue them phasers, but I say "No way! Phasers are boring, secondary weapons. I want blades and knife and shit!" So there! Team Sakara gets some new sharp toys to play with. I called them Star Fleet Issued Blades Weapons.

For Rico, He get a set of twin high-tech kitana blades. They work just like normal kitana blades, but with a catch; The glowing parts of the blades emit high frequency vibrations, making them powerful enough to slice through the hull of an enemy star ship (expect for Star Fleet ships, since their hull plating would be reinforced for protection). The two high-high ninja swords can also combined to become a doulbe-bladed naginata, and like a boomerang blade, can be thrown at opponites at long range.

The pose I drew from Bleedman's "Mekel and Iris" rendering, but I seriously don't like how it came out. The Waist looks like it's disconnected from the rest of the body! In others words, I screwed up big time. D8 I'm sure ti would have looked better if Rico's pants zipper-flap were on the other side. ^^;
