Quick info: (More to be added another day)
- They are a tropical species that only lives in warm climates as they are part reptile, they are equines and quite deer like in their behavior as they move around quietly mostly and are fast runners using their long tail to help them with balance at need. Their long thick/smooth tails will also be used to hit others with but mostly in defense but even when attacking others. They sleep while standing and can live alone or found in herds from 2-10 (only females), there can be up to 20 at most but that’s rare as they prefer to not be too many in a herd.
- Each herd is led by an alpha doe (matriarchal female) that is an elder and the oldest female, the day she pas away the next oldest get a chance to take over if not there is an beta that’s next in line. Males lives alone mostly but a few may live together in small herds 2-3 at most but can be found 4-5 even if that’s rare to be seen.
- They are very peaceful and really dislike fighting each other’s even if it can happen but that only happens when two males wish to mate with a female in season and none of them want to back down. A female that got two males after her will start by walking/running/jumping around but she will wait a few days, even if only one of them is still after her before mating to make sure he got good genes and that there will be healthy youngsters. They can mate up to 1-2 times a year depending on the circumstances, but rarely 3.
- They lay around 2-3 lizard like eggs that are soft, transparent and need to be laid at a moist place that’s dark, usually inside a cave. It takes about 14 days before the young ones break out of their egg and during this time the mother will be nearby. She lays the eggs in a cave, and for the first 10 days she won’t return to them not to attract predators but also to regain her strength. At the 12/13 day she will return and stay with her young ones if they are still there and haven't been eaten by any predator, what is left of the eggs after hatching she will devour as it help her get stronger, giving her body what it needs.
- The youngsters are covered in a soft skin that will harden after about an hour, they got no horns or feathers and their tail is just a stub that will grow longer as they age and becomes adults one day.
- Females develop small horns that point backwards, a feathered crest on top ending shortly at the start of the neck, and nothing else.
- Males however develop the feathered crest like females but they also grow butt and tail feathers (Note: The tail feathers are the longest feathers on them), and they also grow around 3-5 feathers above their eyes. The underside at the throat grow long hair (unless it isn’t feathers) and a bit shorter can be seen at the underside at the base of their front legs, and they have sharp horns that points forward.
Edit:
I decided to add that the underside at the throat will grow
long hair (unless it isn’t feathers) on both Elder females/males.
