[Colored SKETCH] "Portal Bunny Stress Test!" - Part 1
And here's the first post for tonight, the first of several things I sketched up quickly while I was trying to take a short break from working on commissions, and then I ended up throwing colors and rushed shading on it. I'd originally wanted to go full Portal themed with this (complete with Glados and Portal Guns), but I didn't have enough time to reference the environment, characters and such, so I just went with something simpler. XD
Lynwood has become part of a scientific test of utmost importance! To...see how it'll look if a toon is squashed under his own paws using twin portals and a compression chamber?
Well...it's not rocket science, but it's certainly something I'd like to see for myself!
This idea was suggested to me a while back by

Huh...that's really a good question... O_O
Um, let's see...the lights in the tube could, eh, possibly represent a stasis field that...might be holding him in place? Ah, I can't really explain it. XD
It's all highly advanced toon science, my brain can't process it all even as I make up stuff on the spot. XD

So uh yeah, this really wouldn't work. Already opened and connected portals have to maintain a fixed distance between each other.
To make something like this work you'd need a second set of portals, and another tube with reverse gravity.
Then one set of portals can move downwards, decreasing the space available in both tubes, and thereby compressing whoever is in the tubes.
...of course it doesn't actually matter! It's still a really neat idea.

Hah, I think calling it "real research" is going a bit too far. xD
Imagine that instead of Lynwood it's a simple (non-toony!) box, and the problem becomes clear. What's gonna happen when the space in the tube becomes smaller than the box itself?
The other stuff was just me coming up with a solution off the top of my head. I've no idea if it would actually work though!
