The detail is absolutely incredible. Your coloring, too, is beautiful beyond words. Personally, I don't see much to improve on, I think it's wonderful.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who counted the heads too. ^_^
I also counted 16 heads. But I thought most hydras had 8 to 10 heads? X3
Either way, it's a very nice looking pic. ^^

I know, but I wanted to give him some extra heads. They might have been chopped of by somebody before hercules or something... They hydra had 9 heads.

The sky is stunning and I like the way you did the silhouettes in the distance. That adds more to the lighting effects so well. All the time spent on those scales shows! }:=)

Absolutely beautiful. I don't think there's much anyone can criticise you on for this. After all, to attempt such a complex creature is a feat in and of itself, and to succeed is true mastery. Well done.

If I were forced to critique on anything, it would be how the hydra sort of stands out from the scenery. Not that it actually matters, because with a background that is, for the most part, quite dark and stormy, having the hydra stand out a bit as it does brings your eyes to it, as it is meant to.
