Another happy accident. Colouring monochrome pics, even in Krita, isn't a one step process. The monochrome value study and colour layers layed over it are just a start. In the first stage they look like colourized old photos, and then you have to repaint most of the dang pic for real (unless you're lazy) - In this case i realized that this "colourized old photo" was exactly the effect i wanted.

i have a bunch reallly old National Geographic Magazines from '20's/'30s and some old postcards from before colour film was commonplace - and they would colourize the monochrome pics....So was familiar with this look.

And she is sort of cute...will be drawing her again...

i nearly didn't post either version of this pic, cuz the pose and composition are a bit weak...But the old newspaper fx made it look cool, and the faded (possibly colourized) old postcard style on this version sort of went along with the awkward composition and pose....Anyhoo...This bunny has at least one more pic to show up in ....
