If I remember correctly, he's kinda like a gladiator. But if I recall they fights aren't to the death also you're not aloud to injure your opponents eyes.

I can't say I blame him. I used to get splinters all the time from my parents' wooden deck when I was young. Absolutely HATED those things, and they left me terrified of touching wood for years :p
