As an early birthday present, I got an electric guitar-- a Peavey Raptor Plus we found in a pawn shop for a little over a hundred bucks. It came with its own carrying case and an electronic tuner.

I have no idea how to play it yet, but just fooling around and running the results through a VST amp makes a great and terrible noise. No matter how directionless and inarticulate, I cannot believe the sounds I can now make. That which I will be capable of once I have developed a modicum of skill will be tremendous. I feel love.
