*2 years ago on Logo Bunch, I created the edition that grew its popularity, the Disney Edition. And now, a new edition came into the scene. Prepare to be slimed.
Welcome! Now as that intro dialogue told you, yes, we are starting a new edition for Logo Bunch. But what you're seeing right now is a preview of what you're going to get on this new edition. The edition in question is of course, the Nickelodeon edition, the edition where I decorate the many forms of logos of the first ever children's television network on the planet, Nickelodeon (or Nick for short). Brief history, first: Nickelodeon (NICK) started out in 1979 rebranding the original name of Pinwheel from 1977. It was originally owned by TimeWarner, along with Cartoon Network, but the executives finally sold it to Viacom. Around that time, they usually aired British and Canadian shows until 1981 with the premiere of their sitcom, You Can’t Do That On TV. That show has brought a new age of Nickelodeon with the iconic green slime and the legacy was changed forever. Once the late 80s and early/mid 2000s came along, Nick became more popular with the addition of its nighttime block, Nick At Nite, it's preschool block, Nick Jr., the annual awards ceremony, the Kids Choice Awards, popular live-action shows coming out like All That, Clarissa Explains It All, Kenan and Kel, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, Zoey 101, The Amanda Show, iCarly, etc., and the one that remembers me the most, Nicktoons, which I'll get to that later. They pretty much kept their popularity until the dark ages hit in th late 2000s. Since then, they continue accepting bad show after bad show and people are just getting tired of it. They even changed their logo as well. I don't know what's going on but maybe Nick should do better in the future. Speaking of this new one we're viewing here, when I first saw this logo, I was like, "What?". It seems like I'm starting to miss the popular orange splat logo. If you ask me, yes, I do think the splat logo was better than this one here. But this one would go into a very close second on my favorite Nickelodeon logo forms ever. They pretty much have done the same during their rebrand to Nick At Nite and Nicktoons, and by changing The N to TeenNick and Noggin to Nick Jr. It didn't happen to every Nick logo existed, but just as you know, there will be explanation to the logos, soon. Speaking of Nicktoons, we're going into this next subject, now. Ever since 1991, Nick created the Nicktoons (NTOON, NKTN) with the premiere of the 3 shows that started it all, Doug, Rugrats, and The Ren & Stimpy Show, and it started a new line of great cartoons. The cartoons are as follows: Doug, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko's Modern Life, AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, Kablam!, Hey Arnold!, Angry Beavers, CatDog, The Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, As Told By Ginger, The Fairly OddParents, Invader Zim, ChalkZone, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, All Grown Up, My Life As a Teenage Robot, Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The X's, El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, Catscratch, Back at the Barnyard, The Legend of Korra, T.U.F.F. Puppy, Harvey Beaks, The Loud House, and 2 of the most popular shows, Rugrats and the happiest sponge on earth, SpongeBob SquarePants. In 2002, the Nicktoons are starting to become more popular that it even launched its own TV Channel, airing reruns of classic Nicktoons, just like Cartoon Network's Boomerang. It wasn't until the late 2000s as it also starting to hit the dark ages just like the main channel itself by airing live-action shows that don't deserve to be there and moving the classic Nicktoons to TeenNick's The 90s Are All That/The Splat making way for new shows. The Nicktoons channel is starting to have limited viewers and watch The Splat on TeenNick instead. Just like Nick itself, maybe Nicktoons and the new Boomerang should get back to its early days in the future. And this is the preview of what you'll get on Nickelodeon Edition. Special thanks to Pokelobo on Deviantart for starting this new edition, thanks! If you want to see more Nickelodeon logos to see on this edition, just go to the Viacom section or choose the Nick/Nick Jr. logos from this LogoLogic picture: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net.....20121215230018 And remember, if you have a logo to suggest to me on Logo Bunch, just comment down below!
