Copleand and Circuit's pursuit of Rift an his sidekick was difficult as they were following the trail of two teleporters.
"Now do you know where they're going?" Copleand asked as she followed her "For all we know they're behind us." she even took a moment to look."
Circuit's phone then went off from under her scarf "I can sense electrical signals, and theirs are very distinct." Then dashed down a hall "They're splitting paths." her phone went off "Go left, he's after the scientist. Rift is at the elevators."
"Who the heck am I after?" Copland asked as she turned left
The second she asked she got a text on her phone. "Graften."
"Right." She put her phone away and ran down the hall, and she continued she found wolf prints "Walter..." She followed the tracks swiftly, but soon the paw prints started to look strange. Less in a running pattern as they changed direction in the hall.
"Help! Help!" She heard him call from a room. She ran for the room, but there was just a mess of pipes and valves and set of metal stairs going up. "Help!"
Copleand drew her gun and ran up the stairs to a hatch. She entered the room up with a massive container, and she saw the cat holding Walter by his metal claws. "Don't move, cat!" She shouted and aimed at him.
But Grafted lifted Walter in front of him like a shield "Just try to hit me."
"Don't shoot," Walter begged as he just hanged there "Please! I'll do anything?"
"You think You matter to me, Walter?"Copleand said as she took aim "Getting you out alive is just icing on the cake." I could shoot you right through him, Graften."
"Maybe with that gun" Graften said "But it'd by me enough time to break these pipes open." Copleand could hear his metal claws twitch for a moment "Do you know what's been left in this? Radioactive water. Shoot him all you want, but I'll still have time to cut these pipes and wash the place in it. Think of the kids."
Copleand fought for her serious face and kept her aim.
"Think of your team."
Copleand still fought to keep solid, but she caved in and lowered her gun.
"You're pathetic." Graften said "Fade with time." his claws punctured into the pipe he stood on, and as soon as he pulled it out the pipe bursted with water.
Copleand ducked to the side and shot twice, but she missed.
Grafted through Walter up to a railing higher up, and then teleported there himself. "Don't bother with me." That pipe burst is only start, just wait till this large take depressurizes and bursts. That alone has water much worse than what your in."
Copleand took aim for a moment, but then saw the water pouring down the hatch she came through. "Oh shit.." She gasped and then ran down the hatch. "It's all gonna pour on top of them."
