Yes, very unusual, but not quite as horrifying as the time I found her 'spider tea party' she had set up in one corner of the nursery....
I'm not exactly sure how she got party hats on all of them but she did.

It is also that centipedes are carnivores with a bite that can leave blisters, bee sting like pain, and small puncture wounds when the centipede crawls across the skin. Millipedes, on the other hand, are dopey "bugs" that go after decomposing plant matter for food and you just have to wash your hands thoroughly if you ever handle one (not suggested, but if you must...).
See, with spiders, if it's really small and far away from me, I don't care. "Eat up all the other bugs, little guy. You do you, just respect my personal space." If they get too close to me, however, then we have a problem. I once had a spider hang right in front of me at my computer, so I flipped out, got my sandals, and gushed it. Then a SMALLER SPIDER POPPED OUT OF IT...
Now, if they're big spiders, I will not and cannot sleep until I see it dead.

There's actually a picture with a little girl throwing tarantulas a tea party. Also, centipedes are nasty critters to deal with. Usually you have to provoke spiders, not that I'm going to be holding them or anything. Millipedes though are totally chill and help lemurs get high and keep their fur free of parasites.
I've had a few small spiders make their homes in various parts of my room. I don't mind them since they are smaller than a penny fully grown and managed to save many a spider from a stomp attack.
Centipedes I don't mind either, except for the house kind which freak me right the heck out.

All spiders except the adorable little jumping ones creep me the hell out and as long as they mind their own business I won't smash them. Centipedes and insects (especially beetles <3) on the other hand I have no real problems with. Hmm actually House Centipedes and Crickets, they can both go burn in a fire *nods* All those weird legs and that annoying chirping after a month of summer.
There's a few spiders making a next in the corner of my bedroom ceiling. We have an arrangement. They get the bugs that -also- bother me, while staying away from my physical body, no harm shall befall them. If they cross this line however, ohhhhh there will be arachnid genocide >3>
