I'm not a real artist. I got problems to draw real technic and machines and Sergals!
But i try it and mixed my hard challenges.
Hilmar, a northern Sergal in finnish Air Service during WW2 or a "what if war"?
He's a nice guy. Like it to play his mouth organ and fly, of course.
Not an ace pilot, but skilled in dogfight in the skies of Finnland.
His first plane: A Brewster F2A-2 Buffalo. In Finnish Service known as Brewster B 239 "Taivaan Helmi" "Skypearl"
17 Victorys. Hilmar was shot down by a doorgunner of a SB-2. The BW 369 (BW stands for Brewster) was overhauled
but weeks later he crashed his beloved plane totally, because of engine malfunction.
Second plane was a german Bf 109 G. The MT-477 (MT for Messerschmitt) wasn't a gentle plane like his Buffalo. It
doesn't accept excuses and was hard to control. Hilmar crashed his "Mercedes" during landing. The MT-477 was
repaired, got a new colorful nose and Hilmar painted teeth on it. After 7 victorys he was shot down by a Lagg-3.
Hilmar crashed in a river, the Bf 109 sunk, but Hilmar survived and swam with broken bones!
The third plane a british Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was proven and good-natured. He got two victorys before the war ends,
with his HC-462 (HC Hurricane). A Mig-3 and a german Ju 87.
After the war, Hilmar becomes a Helicopterpilot for oil rig and a air-taxi-service.
He doesn't talk often about the war, but sometimes he plays his own created song on his mouth organ:
"My friend the Taivaan Helmi"
The awesome Sergals belongs his honorable creator, the great
mick39
Hilmar looks not really like a Sergal. I think a little bit to small, but i like him. The uniform is correct, exept the color
and i know NOTHING about finnish ranks. The U.S., German and British planes were in fact in finnish service, but the
numbers are fictionally. And the colors fit not with the real planes. I know, the finnish planes of this era wears the
"Hakaristi" but i think i don't need it here.
