The Nachtkrapp is a beast of the old austro/bavarian folklore. It has the function of a sandman and is shown as a raven, which carries children who don't go to bed far away or even eat them. Tho in a small part of Austria it is a benevolent creature, which embraces the children with it's soft plumes and singing them to sleep.
My version is a bit of both, being able to make others sleep with it's golden sand, being able to turn itself into said sand and pass through slightest gaps. It can enter dreams at will and change them, even able to steal energy from the sleeping. Also it can control how long someone sleeps or dreams, which could be used for dark reasons, since the victim could be tortured with insomnia or could be imprisoned in their own nightmare. It's iris made of pure gold and mechanical, showing the EXACT time depending on where it actually is.
Oh, and the nightsky showing on the underside of the feathers is actually the one of it's own little realm, in which it can alter everything the way it likes to.

This is a character I made for someone and if they don't want it I will keep it myself ;P
