*Old Work*
decided to redraw my dragon Angeloe along with his two friends that I will be debuting later. I tweaked his design just a little bit and colored him in my new technique. I also suppose that this is the time to reveal a little more about his personality.
Angeloe is a Red-Scaled Fighting Dragon. They get this name for their remarkable fighting skills both on the ground and in the sky, a trait hardly ever seen in any other species. While most dragons are only built for ground or aerial combat, Fighting Dragons are built with long, strong legs and wide paws for support on the ground. Their wings are also heavily muscled with a wider structure for powerful lift and acrobatic capabilities. This species is also the only one known to possess colored claws and horns thanks to a phenomenon in the egg where exterior bone structures are covered in a material similar to deer felt that stains the bone red (the uninformed would think someone had painted the claws).
All of this information given to Angeloe at an early age has given him a bit of a swollen head. He is very proud of himself and often believes he is above other species. Unfortunately, this is a common trait amongst the species and requires a stern yet caring hand to rein in. Angeloe, however, lets his vanity blind him so much that he doesn't see his own shortcomings. For one thing, his weight and wing structure (along with those curved horns) don't allow for an aerodynamic body, making him one of the slower flyers in the dragon world. The species' also has one of the slowest growth spurts, meaning Angeloe was the smallest of his comrades for a long period of time (but this helps humble the dragon a bit).
Angeloe himself has a very cocky and trickster-like personality, even in his adulthood. Despite knowing what flaws he may have, he still believes he is a one of the superior species of the dragon world, and will fiercely defend that title. He hates being told he can't do something. However, he makes up for this character flaw by being one of the most loyal and defensive comrades round. He doesn't make many friends, but those he does make are guaranteed his lifelong protection and friendship. Though most people only see his goofy, carefree side, Angeloe can be serious and disciplined when the situation calls for it.
So that's my dragon. I know that was a lot to read ( a lot to type, too!), but character means a great deal to me.
Next dragon friend: the amphibious Mesi!
