I wasn't familiar with Back to the Barnyard so I looked it up and the characters of Freddy and Peck, and it looks like Freddy had large feet for his size and was described as jittery so I imagine he would be quite ticklish. In any case it's a very nice picture and I can still enjoy the art even if I don't know the characters.
That does sound a bit odd though about the cows, if they're specifically identified as male.
