"Hmm?"
Nexus was out patrolling when he spotted them.
"Huh...don't see that very often. She'd probably like one of these. I should probably get it straight home too, thinking about it."

"You're back early, Nexxie" Keisha said, her head tilted to one side quizzically, knowing Nexus took patrolling very seriously.
"Yeah I err...I found this and thought that yoouu.....might like it. So err...here."
He handed her a blue rose, the light glistened from the fresh dew.
Keisha audibly gasped as she took it carefully from his hand.
"Oh wow! It's so pretty! Thanks so much, Nexxie!" she bounced up and down.
"It's er...it was nothing. Ah jeez..." he strode out of her room, heading off to hit a machine with a wrench until he felt less soft hearted.

"It's so pretty..." Keisha giggled.
In the mirror behind her, her mental twin Keitoshi turned her head to glare at her, holding the mirror twin of her rose, blood red and glinting with a secret malevolence.
"You have no idea, do you?" she spoke through Keisha's mind in a voice like rain landing on molten lava. "You could never understand the grandious nature of his gesture. He sacrifised the safety of our home all for the sake of handing us this most rare of gifts. And all you can remark upon is its aesthetics. Pathetic."
She faded from the mirror and Keisha was left looking at the rose.
"Long words..." she muttered before looking for a jar to put her new treasure in.

Comission her, dammit.

I actually had in my head a different idea, the two of them looking at eachother, but honestly, I think Jessy's idea was much, much better.
There are some parts I'm not *entirely* happy with, but overall I love how this came out.
