Yea...

The Kick and the "noise-bass" "drive the track quite well.
I just think there could be something more going on. Its a bit empty for my taste.
I could imagine some subtle melodies fading in for short periods of time. Some more Sound Effects or maybe just a bit more going on with the drumming.
I am also not quite sure if I like the way the voice is edited. Is that a chorus? Not sure i am bad at guessing : I
It sounds quite distant and pretty much only the highs are left.
In general, I think you could use some stuff going on in the mids. I think that would make it sound a lot more "complete" if that makes sense.

As always, just my thoughts, and I am no professional x) But maybe you can use some of it.

I actually just made this right here in about 4 hours believe it or not...

Though you are right on a few things with a little driving action within the flow...

The tracks that Im kinda making it similar to in inspiration is this one and this one and something like this...

In which all this tracks do have a driving focus whether it be an effect, tune, ambient noise, groove, or just the setting of the tone...

The thing one the vocals is that everyone so far in there remixes just made an alternate edit of the track and didn't really expand on certain ideals and just made another prog house track that is very similar to the original, which is not my intent...

So I wanted to make it something different but in mind with what I was going for, it was either going to be a very dark vocal tone or something strange...so what I did instead of putting a chorus filter on there and calling it a day, i modified the vocal tune by pitch shifting it through two shifters while going into a amp which gives it that chorus like aurora to the vocals...

Its in tune, but just different because thats what I like to do...

The only midi thing you hear is the bass on the "and" of the one "and two...

I haven't added the stem of the serum arp yet which I want to do something crazy with...

Most of the samples of the original will here but they will extremely modified to my liking to the point where they might not sound like the original anymore or just be one section of the particular stem...

I try to do different things when i comes to the term remix, because when I hear the term remix and compared to the original, I think of something kinda like this...

So, thats how I look at things when I imagine a remix...

Hope that gets a few ideas out...

Yeah, I like the idea of taking something old and turning it into something almost completly new.
But also be careful, because not many people will notice the "hidden" work :)
Still, if thats what you want, just go for it. I prefer this approach at remixing to "just another prog house track" too.
Depends on your decision. Risking people not noticing your work and making it something unique to you. Or also leaving some more obvious trails :)

I also downloadet the stems yesterday (thanks to your post). Dont know if I will upload it there, but its fun just to play around with the samples.
Some of the stems were exported quite stupidly i think. For example the one with the snare.. its 6 minutes of nothingness with a simple unedited snare inbetween.
Or the kickdrum-ones... I cut out the kick and snare, but I doubt I will use it.
But I am glad I have another vocal to mess around with, and some deadmau5 samples in general, so thanks for sharing ;)

For now there are not many impressive remixes out there. But its also just the start of the month... ^^

The thing about the stems is that they are not sections, they are stems...

Meaning its the whole track in it sequential order with the sections coming in when they are suppose to come in...

Its the same way you export when you do a "mix down" because thats actually how its done...

Every section is a track, so you have a bass track, a kick track, a snare track, shaker track, arp track, ect...

So when someone wants to do a remix, you give them the stems exactly like that in that format and the same way for the "mix down" process...

I know its weird, but thats how its been setup for years unintentionally...

yeah, i was thinking so... But I still think its a bit... stupid xD to export those 2 snares as a 7 minute track.
But in other cases, the stems will make sence like this.. So.. yeah xD It just looks a bit weird ^^
