The Invisible Woman is a Chameleon because of the often fictionalized Chameleons turning invisible.
The Human Torch is a Fire Bellied Toad cause-- well... look at the name. :P (We had considered a Salamander, but we wondered if anyone would GET that reference)
The Thing's a Turtle because he has the same accent as Raphael, and I thought it'd be funny. :P
