Pirates are slightly less trendy than they used to be, but they still fall squarely into the "Nerd Shit that Gets Trotted Out as 'AWESOME' Far Too Often," along with ninjas, robots and zombies. Still, here's King Rudolph the Pirate Monkey and his crew. King Rudolph appeared, with a human crew, in my comic The Fantastical Bestiary (http://fantatsicalbestiary.comicgenesis.com) but the original idea involved an all-animal crew. Here's a pic of that.
