Couple of zebras cuddling. This again continues my Africa theme, as now that Lutien and I have found ourselves a new house, I am drawing African animals to go on our guest room/my study's walls. I think I have one more to do after this, but I might change my mind. Stranger things have happened.
So we're home again and I have access to a proper scanner! *does a little jig* I can't wait to move into our new house, though, as then I will have a garden to dig around in and a conservatory I can turn into a green house. Go jungles!
So yeah, zebras. I'm well and truly fed up with drawing stripes... O_o

Beautiful. The warm colors really build up that atmosphere. Great sunsets they have there.
Ah, eikös tämä ole "väriä mustalle" taidetta? Oliko hankalaa piirtää nuo seeprat ikään kuin negatiivisena? Ei mitään, minusta ne on oikein hienon näköisiä. Oikein lämpöinen kuva.
Nice picture.

Thanks very much! Drawing on black paper isn't too difficult once you get the hang of it. I do the sketch with pencil and then just colour everything in, including the black bits. The only difficulty is that the pencil is fairly faint and to see the lines I need to hold the sketch at a certain angle to catch the light. And that makes my wrists hurt. But I'm sure I'd whine about something anyway. ^_^
I'm really pleased you like the picture.

Congratulation to the new house ^^ I hope it will turn out as well as you two have planed.
To the picture: Great as we are used to see it from you. The left Zebra seems to be a little bit fat bodied but that is ok I think. The proportions are fitting on most places so there isn't anything to complain about eighter.

Thanks very much! I can't wait to have a garden! The house is great, although needs some renovation. The master bedroom is currently pink and I have made it clear that I will not sleep a single night in a pink room. So it will have to be repainted before we move in, and I will probably also get a new kitchen. Did I mention that I'm excited?
I'm glad you like the zebras, although I think you need a be bit careful again, otherwise you start inflating my ego... ^_^

You may not have guessed, but I really, really, really hate pink. Oh and guess what's Lutien's mum's favourite colour that she keeps flaunting at me...
Yes, yes, you have been known to flat my ego a lot, but you also know very well how to put me back to my humble place.
Well I don't have a lot of spare time you see. It's only on the weekends and late at night I can relax. I work a lot. I never really finish the pictures I start! I'm a very slow drawer, and well, I'm really all that good either, despite me being 22. If I ever finally finish one of my drawings, I'll try to submit it.
I may always be kind (wohoo for the polite anonymity of the internet), but I think it's particularly important to be kind and encouraging when giving feedback/criticism to someone else, particularly for people who are just starting out. In effect, I'm merely passing on the kindness that have been given to me over the years. ^_^
