It's cute to see such an openly gruff and mean-looking creature-guy be this gentle.
Reminds me of a thing a filmmaker I like said, making a weird defence for a surreal event in a movie (a bird just randomly flying onto the head of the protagonist), "well, a bird would only be attracted like that to a good-hearted person" . Guess this cold-blooded guy's got a warm heart.
