Nope, both. They are lesbians canonically. Alphys loves Undyne, and it's the power of Undyne's love for Alphys of her regrets to protect her and her friends, that awakened the Determination in her soul in the Genocide timeline (that Alphys snuck into her food) and allowed her to come back from the brink of death and become stronger. She pulled an anime trick. Making a dramatic comeback from the very brink of death itself, becoming Undyne the Undying. That's some pretty powerful lesbian love there to awaken something monsters cannot handle normally in her soul.

Alphys is canonically bisexual. She got all hot and bothered making Mettaton's body, and "Asgore" and "Undyne" are both the correct answer to "Who does Alphys like?" in Mettaton's quiz. The fact that she loves Undyne and ends up with her doesn't change the fact that she's capable of attraction to males.

Also, way to reply to a comment that was made two years ago just to "correct" someone who pointed out a bisexual character exists.
