Brody had two choices : Going West across the stomping grounds, pupulated by giant bloodthirsty mutants, or going East through the Great Dunes of Nothingness. Sure, the dunes look more appealing, as they don't intend to maul, crush, shred and tear down the guts of their visitors. But they're actually more sadistic, privileging slow and agognizing killings. Poor fella may regret his choice very soon.
