Arched Etudes for Trumpet Quartet
I wrote this back in college. It's a series of five etudes for Trumpet Quartet. I call it Arched Etudes because etudes 1 and 5, and etudes 2 and 4 are quasi-mirrors of each other.
It's a Midi file so you'll have to hit the Download button.

I don't think MIDI files do music any justice. It sounds weak.
Which is a shame, because the melody is very varied, very catchy and if performed by a proper quartet would sound pretty damn amazing. In my opinion, the sound and feel of the piece do not represent what composition talent you have.
So I really must applaud you for a very fine piece of composition, which it is. *clapclap*

I agree, MIDI files do not do music justice. I wrote this piece years ago when all I had was MIDI. I've got Finale now so I'll one day transcribe it there. I can make decent mp3s with Finale.
I'm really glad you enjoy the piece. We had a Trumpet quartet attempt the piece at my college. They played it once through, but never gave it another go sadly. It did sound pretty cool.
*bows with a broad saurian grin on his beak* Thank you, kindly good sir!

No kidding! I still have yet to save up enough to get the full version. I'm also hoping to snag one of the Garritan Orchestral Libraries to improve on what Finale provides (especially since I have no libraries for Xylophone or other Mallet percussion or some of the other fun instruments). So until I can get that, a few of my early orchestral works are going to be stuck in Midi.

That's their homepage. I've had the recommended to me by somebody who makes a living composing classical music.
