I was very angry at Sesame Street when i heard about it.
Apparently Cookie Monster was teaching obesity to our younger generation. So now he's not just 'monster'; oh no. they gave him a regular name...the name he had before 'cookies ruined his life' - Sydney.
gosh durn it, henson corp! stop ruining my childhood (aka giving it plotline). c isn't for cookie! Its for cunt now. as to which they are for changing his name.

Myself, I remember the 70s when he posed with a pipe for Monsterpiece Theater. At the end of the skit, he ate the pipe.
The PC police would have a shit fit with that now. Cookie Monster not only eating fattening cookies, but smoking?!?!?
*looks at himself* Hmmm... I wonder if he had anything to do with how I turned out. Nah...
that show is ANYTHING but normal... and for once, someone has a normal name on the show....this totaly ruins the plot of existance!!!
Still, I will always call him Cookie Monster, because its his name and we know it. I heared some parents complained with Tom & Jerry because one of characters...wait..for..it..smoked a tobacco. *roll eyes* Not violence, but smoking. Geez. Parents nowdays over-react easily. x_X
